WALK to a SMALL PARADISE “COLLA MICHERI” This is how the explorer Thor Heyerdahl called it, who decided to settle in Colla Micheri in 1958. How to blame him? Especially since, thanks to him, the forgotten stone village was restored to perfection. Colla Micheri: a delightful micro-village, an oasis of peace! It is an easy walk almost entirely on the ridge along the high via Baia del Sole, with beautiful views of Andora, Capo Mele, Laigueglia and Alassio. Colla Micheri is a medieval village built along the route of the ancient Roman road Julia Augusta … Departing from the Hotel, the guide Patrizia Pellegrino will make you savor the magic and enchantment of a magical and distant world … explaining every glimpse and every flower … after the last olive grove, the white staircase leads you to the main square characterized by smooth, gray and white stone paving. Here stands the austere Church of San Sebastiano in its dark red color and bearing a plaque on the facade that commemorates the passage of Pope Pius VIII on his return from French exile. There is a permanent nativity scene, which your guide will show you.
Once in Colla Micheri you can enjoy a snack provided by the hotel.
